American Reunion

Jim Levenstein is married to his high school sweetheart Michelle and they have a young child together. While they love each other deeply, they have experienced a loss of intimacy due to the stresses of parenthood and adulthood. They wish the weekend will help rediscover their connection.

As an architect, Kevin is married and settled into a quiet, and ostensibly, a content life. Yet, he is unsure if this life is what he actually imagined. In LA, the flashy world of sports commentary is ruled by Oz, but he harbors a secret longing for the simpler, more real facets of life. Finch has returned to East Great Falls claiming to be a world traveler, filled with exotic stories. However, his journey really highlights his insecurities.

And while Stifler is Stifler, the unexpected arrival of Stifler adds a certain disarray and hilarity to the weekend. His lack of maturity is a source of friction, but it also provides the necessary impulse for the others to appreciate the greater changes they have experienced over time.

Over the reunion weekend, people old relationships, clear misunderstandings. Most important, people learn new things. For Jim, there was the reflection of the responsibilities of being a role model and the importance of upholding his values. For Jim, Kara was a former neighbor who used to babysit him. Meeting her again, Jim learned the responsibilities of being a role model and upholding his values.

Kevin reflects on his past decisions and the new ones he makes as he returns to Vicky, his old girlfriend.
